Sixth Form Careers
At Thomas Deacon Academy, we believe that a key function of education is to support students through the process of deciding upon the direction they take after finishing school. We provide impartial guidance and advice on further education, training or employment across KS3 KS4 and KS5 involving many outside agencies such as employers and education providers.
We are working closely with The Careers and Enterprise Company and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority to ensure that our Careers Programme provides a quality service to our students. We have adopted the nationally recognised Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Careers Guidance to inform our Careers Programme.
Our CEIAG Lead is Lucy Anthony. If you have any queries about careers, higher education or work experience, please contact the team on 01733 426060 or careerseducation@tda.education.
Measuring Impact
TDA assesses the impact of its careers programme on students through the annual student survey and through analysis of destinations data in line with activities that they have taken part in at school. In addition, views of students are gathered following key career events/activities through surveys and using the Unifrog platform. This supports the evaluation of the programme and planning for future events in order to meet student needs.
