Thomas Deacon Academy was one of the first Academies to be created and continues to thrive through our core values of Trust, Discipline and Aspiration. We are seeking a committed and passionate Student Support Worker to join our dedicated Wellbeing team at Thomas Deacon Academy.
The successful candidate will have the ability to assist and work under the direction of the class teacher. They will be able to support and aid the learning of pupils through clarifying and explaining instructions, ensuring the use of equipment and materials, and to provide continuous encouragement and motivation.
They will have knowledge of the local and national learning strategies to enhance literacy and numeracy, and in line with Academy policies they will be able to effectively manage pupil behaviour.
