Students at TDA Junior have a wide variety of opportunities to take part in many different sporting events and activities.

During the 2018/19 school year, students took part in the Peterborough Schools' Cross Country, Gymnastics and Athletics competitions. In the cross country competition several of our students finished in the top 10 for their age groups. For the first time ever, TDAJ also took part in the Peterborough Schools' Country Dance festival. This was a spectacular evening that was thoroughly enjoyed by all students, parents and school staff in attendance.

Students had the opportunity to take part in inter-trust activities against other TDET schools. They participated in a TDET Football tournament as well as a summer cricket match against Gladstone Primary Academy. TDAJ students also took part in the TDET Little Miracles Charity Fundraiser where they participated in a mass martial arts session.

TDAJ has been lucky enough to be visited by representatives from both the Peterborough Phantoms and Peterborough United Football Club. Students enjoyed these assemblies and the messages that these sporting clubs delivered about respect and sportsmanship. A huge thank you to both clubs who also provided our students with opportunities to attend some of their matches.

Finally, the sporting highlight of the year was Sports Day! Every student took part in a range of activities and races throughout the day. They particularly enjoyed racing down the running track and through the giant inflatable obstacle courses. This day was a huge success with everyone out representing their team Houses and enjoying the sport and beautiful weather.
