On March 15th TDA welcomed a very special guest, award winning make-up and special effects artist, David Malinowski. David spent the afternoon in a Q&A sessions with media, drama, photography and art students before making his way the Atrium for an open Q&A with the academy students and staff. And yes, he did bring his Oscar and Bafta with him!
David described his journey from Deacons schools, to college in Stamford and then onto a career in make and special effects at Madame Tussauds. After ten years of working on live castings and wax models, David decided to further his career in TV and film, starting on small screen dramas such as Casualty before moving into film.
This was an amazing opportunity for our students to see that anything is possible if you stick to your dreams, work hard and persevere.
