ePortal
The Academy uses Serco Facility and ePortal as its management information system (MIS) to record details of student attendance, behavior, academic progress and a multitude of other items of information relating to a pupils Academy life.
This system is accessible to all students, staff and parents of the Academy. Access to ePortal is protected with a secure socket layer connection (recognizable by the https:// web address) and also by a combination of a username and password for authentication. These measures ensure that whilst being easily accessible, data integrity and data protection issues are maintained. Click the logo (top left) to go to ePortal.
If you are connecting to ePortal from these pages and you are either a member of staff or a student at the Academy, you should enter your normal network username and password as these will authenticate you into the system.
If you are a parent or another user who does not have a network logon, you will be challenged twice for a username and password. It is sufficient to enter ‘ePortal’ into the username area and then press logon. Your actual ePortal username and password should be used in the second logon box.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EPORTAL USERS
Some users have reported issues that their ePortal pages are not updating correctly when changing between students. To counter this issue, advice from Serco is to force Internet Explorer to seek a new page every time an update uccurs. To do this, go to the Tools Menu on the Start Menu on Internet Explorer. Then select internet options. Once selected, locate the section relevent to 'browsing history' and press settings. In the options that appear, locate those relevent to Temporary internet files. From this section change the current setting to 'every time I visit a webpage'. Then select OK twice to close all option windows and continue to browse. Your internet explorer should now seek a new page after each update.
