Curriculum

The Academy curriculum has been designed to meet each student’s individual learning needs, so every student has the maximum opportunity to succeed and realise their ambitions. The curriculum for year 7 students focuses on foundation skills including literacy, numeracy and thinking skills.

There is a complete range of subjects, enriched by the specialisms of Mathematics and Science. Vocational courses provide students with the skills and qualifications employers are seeking such as catering, construction, hair dressing and care, and will further the employment prospects of Academy students.

Structured progression and equipping students for life in the workplace are at the heart of the design of the curriculum which leads to International Baccalaureate, A levels, vocational courses or employment.
