BETT Technology Show

In January 2010 the BETT technology show at London’s Olympia Exhibition Centre brought together all of the leading names in educational technology. Becta is the government agency, who are leading the national drive to ensure the effective and innovative use of technology throughout education and therefore had one of the largest stands in the centre of the hall. In order to demonstrate excellent use of technology, they invited Jack Sharp, Daniella Deluca and Charlotte Martin to show their award winning film Dead and Gone. The students impressed the audience with the professional manner in which they delivered their presentation and shared their experiences of film making and taking part in the Peterborough Young People’s Film Awards. Their horror film captivated the audience with pleasing reactions of fear in just the right places! The audience comprised mainly of teachers from around the country who were all suitably impressed by the high quality of the film, from plot to editing and were eager to ask questions about the pupils’ experiences. The students certainly did the TDA proud and really demonstrated how excellent our students can be. For the three year 13 students, this will certainly be an experience that they will remember.
