Students
Science College is home for about 350 students, of all ages 11-19. They are talented in all areas, not just sciences, and they study the full range of subjects.
Science College students go on to many different places. These incluse top top universities like Durham, Loughborough, Nottingham, University College London (UCL) and York. Some have stayed here in Peterborough to study at University. They are now studying a wide range of subjects including Civil Engineering, Psychology, Medicine, Art, Engineering, Economics, Biology, International Relations and Environmental Science.
All students, from all six Colleges, study Science with us to age 16. They are very successful - for the last two years all 16-year-olds in the Academy gained a level 2 qualification* in science.
An increasing number achieve A* at GCSE, especially those on the 'triple science' programme. Many go on to success in sixth form science courses, and then on to universities. They have gone on to a wide range of science and engineering degrees including Biochemistry, Medicine, Civil Engineering and Physics.
*level 2 - either one or more GCSE in Science at C grade or better, or the equivalent BTEC certificate in Applied Science.
