  • Parents/Carers:

KS2 Parents' Evening, Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st March 2019, 3pm - 7pm. We look forward to welcoming you.

STEM subjects are held in high regard at our Academy and this is reflected in the destinations that our students move onto - almost half of our sixth form go on to study STEM based subjects at university. We offer breadth in subject choice at key stage 4 and 5. Our aim is to raise the volume of our students going on to careers that are STEM related as this will increase life chances and opportunities for our students.

The STEM team delivers multiple cross curricular projects in Science , Technology and Mathematics within Key stage 3 ensuring that all staff in their respective disciplines operate collectively. In addition the team has forged links and developed projects which involve young people in STEM events such as the Futures Projects and the Year 7 Projects in STEM. A large number of students have been involved in Crest Projects and have met with and worked with STEM Ambassadors, organisations and industry, e.g. Royal Academy of Engineers, The Institute of Education, to provide experiences and activities to promote the STEM agenda at our Academy.
