Humanities College is the largest College in the Academy and offers students a diverse range of subjects that they can study from Year 7 to Year 13 as well as an excellent tutor base. In years 7 and 8 students learn Geography, History and Religious Education. The choice of subjects that the college offers in years 9, 10 and 11 is broadened to also include Business Studies, Citizenship and Travel and Tourism. At post 16 level, students can choose to study Business Studies, Economics, History (both Early Modern and Modern History can be studied), Geography, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, Sociology, Travel and Tourism and Religious Studies. All of these subjects help students gain a greater understanding of the world around them, how it has been shaped and what the future of it may look like. |

The Early Modern History course also saw 74% A*-C grades.

Along with the impressive results, the College also hosts some fantastic trips for students, from the Waterfalls and Geysers in Iceland to the Battlefields of Ypres. We have also arranged for special events to take place to help students understand key ideas in their subjects like the ‘worship experience’ organised by our RE team. |
