Michaela Hindhaugh has got in contact to let us know what she has been up to since leaving the Thomas Deacon Academy in 2010.
I'm in my second year at Sheffield Hallam University studying Social Work and I'm loving every minute of it! I've just finished my first placement (Sept-Jan) which I passed! I worked with Age UK Sheffield, particularly working with older people within the Macmillan service (either suffering from cancer or have a partner affected by cancer.) My role was to offer support and guidance with benefits, activities, lunch clubs, referrals to other organisations and just someone to talk to really. I really enjoyed it.
