Year 10 Hero
Ben, in year 10, was puzzled when he saw that the windows were steamed up but when he looked through the letterbox he could see water everywhere. He knew the occupants were not in and so thought it was strange that there was water on the outside of the windows as well as the inside.
Thinking quickly, Ben, from Dogsthorpe himself, decided to ring Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service to get them to investigate. Fortunately the fire service, with the help of Anglian Water, managed to cut off the water supply to the house.
His rapid actions and concern for the house have prevented what could have been hundreds of pounds worth of further damage to the family home.
