Study Leave 2011

Please note:

It should be noted that all students should be in full school uniform or business wear at any time they are in school. If this is not the case they will be asked to leave the site.

If students behave in an inappropriate manner or do not adhere to general exam rules they are likely to be disqualified from that exam and, depending on the nature of the offence, possibly from all examinations.

If students have exams prior to study leave the following protocol should be adhere to.  This also applies to Year 10 students who have final GCSE exams or modules:

If it is a morning exam they should sit the exam and then return to lessons.

If it is an afternoon exam they can revise in the morning and come into during tutor time so that they are ready to sit their exam in the afternoon. We would prefer if students revise at home in the morning.

Students may be requested to attend lessons after this date for exam preparation or completion of coursework if necessary. This will not conflict in any way with the exam timetable and will be arranged through subject staff.

Students must have their ID cards with them for examinations. Failure to provide this will result in a student not being able to enter the exam. If a student requires a new ID card they can be purchased from the Finance Office for £3.

If a student is ill or there are extenuating circumstances that will affect their performance during the exams please ensure that the home college and exams office are made aware. Appropriate documentation will be required to support any situation that needs to be reported to the exam boards.

Results days are:

Thursday, 18th August 2011: A2 and AS Results

Thursday, 25th August 2011: GCSE Results

If you have any questions in the meantime please do not hesitate to contact the home college of the student.
