INSPIRING FUTURES 
At last year's event over 44 companies, learning providers and organisations took part in the Thomas Deacon Academy's Inspire Careers Conference.  Over 600 students took part in a day of enterprise and work related learning activities.

Students from Year 11 (aged 15-16) spent the morning attending the Information Zone to engage with companies to find out about industry, what type of jobs they employed, what skills, qualities and qualifications they are looking. Companies also got the opportunity to work with students in the 'Taster Workshops' which they delivered to give them a better insight into different roles and their industry. 

In our 4th year of organising this event, we know that the formula works.  This really is a fantastic day for all involved.  It brings together businesses and students on so many levels and provides an opportunity for our future workforce to realise the opportunities available to them in learning and careers under one roof and one morning!
